Our selection of specialty coffees are crafted by roasters who care about creating an outstanding product & implementing fair trade practices. The result is a consistently delicious experience for our customers, and support for coffee growers worldwide through fair pricing and sustainable practices. Descriptions such as “gourmet” & “specialty” are frequently and interchangeably used by copywriters to describe any coffee. In order to be classified as a specialty coffee shop—we serve coffee that has achieved a score of at least 80 out of 100 on the Specialty Coffee Association’s 100-Point Quality Scale, and follow their Golden Cup Standards which include specific brewing temperatures and water-to-coffee ratios.
The Specialty Coffee Association’s 100 Point Quality Scale includes roasting, measurement, cupping and pouring protocols. Their evaluation procedure takes the following into consideration:
Fragrance / Aroma
Flavor, Aftertaste, Acidity, Body and Balance
Sweetness, Uniformity, and Cleanliness

In addition to high product standards, we only use compostable take-away containers for our to-go orders, limit the amount of animal products used, offer metal straws instead of plastic, and are actively working towards eliminating single-use plastics.
